Cozy atmosphere and wonderful food

My friend Fritz's regular restaurant. Very good upscale cuisine, the plaice and the rump steak are extremely recommendable! Super nice service. Every time I'm in Lübeck you have to pass there!

Had to stand in front of the shop for 15 minutes, no one in the service responded to us. When asked, we should just sit down. When someone came after 5 minutes we were told that we had to get up again immediately because the table and chairs had to be disinfected. When we did that, we were once again grumbled that we could kindly wait until the table was cleared .... I've actually never been treated so badly as a guest.

We were on a short vacation in Lübeck last week. By chance we ended up at Potters for dinner and were absolutely thrilled! I (myself a restaurateur) have rarely seen such an attentive, friendly and professional service team. And then the food came ... -We melted there! Incredibly delicious cuisine! Creative, fresh and really perfection on the plate! Try the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert, especially in autumn !!! You will lose your language with happiness! The food tasted very good and the kitchen is obviously enjoying cooking. All plates were well presented. Price-performance ratio is right.

Offer very nice. Not all food is satisfactory. Tuna steak 5 points. Filleted plaice a disaster. I expect much better with the prices. Service tried to dry the table with napkins after a failed water glass. Of course, I expected a fresh tablecloth here and not soaked paper napkins. No professionals, but professional prices.

We only had a drink, hot chocolate was delicious and really hot too. The food at the neighboring tables looked very good.

We were also turned down totally unfriendly when we asked if there was still a free table. The waitress was still very friendly, then asked her colleague who hit us with four "no" in an impossible tone. As a guest, I should probably have apologized to him for visiting this place without prior reservation. I can well imagine how stressful it can be as a waiter, but the colleague proved that you can handle guests without a reservation better.

Highly recommended! Service absolutely great, nice, courteous and even fulfills almost impossible wishes! Food is plentiful and recommended! Something for everyone and perfectly prepared!

Only other fries could be otherwise very tasty and very nice staff.

The menu is manageable and has few dishes, but they are all delicious. The portions are perfectly adequate and the price-performance ratio is totally right. The service is friendly and attentive. Due to the fact that the restaurant and the toilets are limited, you have to queue outside, which many people overlook, but here, too, it was solved well and the waiters all comply with the corona hygiene rules. We will come back and always recommend it.

After 30 minutes of waiting, tuna is served almost raw and goes back to the kitchen. The other pasta dish is ready: so, in pairs, you unfortunately eat one after the other instead of together. Emptied tea cups are not cleared away at all until the payment process. Table disinfection begins when you get up while the camera is still on the table.

Were there around 2pm. Service friendly and brisk, delicacies to eat with chanterelles on bread and scallops on salad. The mushrooms were good, unfortunately the mussels weren't at all. Price for 1 large & kl. Beer 1Aperol Spritz 1 water good 36 € Since the location is paid for.

The spare ribs are a treat. Seldom eaten so delicious. Fish was excellent too. Service super nice too. Price level but it's worth it. We'll be back for sure.

Very nice location on the Obertrave! Very friendly hardworking staff! Small fine card! The food is really delicious and well presented! Sometimes you may have to wait a bit to get a seat, but you really try very hard. A little more expensive, but matches the quality and service!

The fish soup was the best I've ever eaten. Outstanding taste with lots of inlay and tasty, hearty bread. The terrace nicely lit. The service was very friendly but unfortunately a bit disorganized and slow.

In and of itself nice location and friendly waiter. If the dragon at the bar hadn't turned me on so impossible, because after waiting 10 minutes I wanted to go to the free (!) Ladies' room on my own, we would have eaten something. So we quickly changed locations.

My new discovery in Lübeck. Delicious food, the best service and very friendly staff. The great commitment of the operators is always noticeable. The menu makes you curious to be tried out completely. I'll be back on my next visit!

We were turned away in a totally unfriendly way because we were more than 2 people ... namely a whole third minimum distance could have been kept. Instead, we were referred to a table at which what seemed like hundreds of tourists would be huddled past you. Obviously, that would be much safer. I don't leave my money there anymore.

A little bit on the pricey side but great location and food

We were lucky and were able to get a table for two people. We sat outside and were greeted and served extremely friendly. The food - plaice Finkenwerder Art and the Matjes Filets housewife type - was very tasty. We will definitely come back again and will reserve in advance.

Nice location. Weitresses were not very friendly and unfortunately we have had the worst "Matjes nach Hausfrau Art" herring during our whole trip in Schleswig-Holstein. The fish "catch of the day" tasted ok. A little bit overpriced considering the quality of food and service

Very nice yet a busy place, very good service, lovely view. All we had was really nice, particularly the fish plate with saffron sauce dish was among the best meals I had for long time.

Good restaurant, great location on the riverside. The staff were gracious about helping us with our limited German. Bludwurst was good. You can pass on the schnitzel. The fish soup was also good.

No free tables when we arrived so we went looking for another place but when we passed by a few minutes later the waiter waived at us and told us they found a table, great! Looking thru the menu the same waiter recommended the daily special, a great Croatian fish, very delicious. Great food and staff, reasonable price. Would recommend!

Beautiful place, wonderful service and lovely food. If you'd like to feel welcome and eat in a small beautiful place in Lübeck come to Potters it is perfect and whatever you order from the Menu you will not be disappointed.

Food is generally very good & portion sizes are generous. However, on numerous visits to this restaurant during a holiday to Lübeck recently (3 visits in one week), I found the service to be very ordinary to poor. Waitresses who appear not to want to be there, head in the clouds, borderline uninterested & somewhat rude (even to locals, not just tourists). The numerous waitresses that I came across were all like this, quite grumpy in natute & pretty snarky. I know hospitality isn't an easy industry to work in, as I also did it once myself, but I was surprised that this level of service was being displayed in Germany. You'd expect it more in Eastern Europe than in a picturesque & historic German city. It's a real shame they dislike their jobs & it comes across in their service, as I think otherwise, that the restaurant is well worth visiting. But the wait staff are mostly inattentive & uninterested in their jobs when people want to order or pay their bill. Not a good combination at all. We waited mostly 10-15 minutes to be initially served & the same to just ask if we could pay the bill. Not cool.

Loved the goats cheese salad, veal schnitzel was pretty good, portion sizes were big, 2 servings are enough for 3 people. service was great, drinks and food were a little expensive but overall worth it. Would recommend!

Right by the river with the sunset as a backdrop. Great German food and beer.

Very good ribs

Food is great, service is friendly but a bit forgetful (probably due to being the sole waitress during the busy hours). I recommend the "bluudwurst" as starter and the ribs as main dish. The Temperament (spanish?) rotwein goes well with these dishes.

Very big portions and very good quality meals, prices best so far in Europe.

Excellent service and good food! Prices are fair, we had the pork wienerschnitzel and it was very good.

Food was good, location great. Slight misunderstanding with allergies which was not good, but otherwise a good basic redtaurant in a great location.

I ordered a medium steak, came overcooked and tasted as the meat was once frozen. Not bad but really not great food considering the reviews. Friendly staff, besides one super unfriendly Turkish girl. The worst was, that my boyfriend spotted one of the kitchen stuff washing his hands without soap in the bathroom after laying a #2, hygienic.
